What’s in season?

Winter

As the weather becomes cooler in June, July and August, we are on the hunt for winter warmers, which fortunately coincides with the time that roots vegetables such as potatoes, pumpkin and carrots become available; the perfect addition to hearty soups, curries and casseroles. Try our Root vegetable gratin recipe for a beautiful side to your Sunday roast.

Leafy winter greens such as kohlrabi and kale also come into season and are a rich source of nutrients like iron. Winter citrus like oranges and grapefruit are excellent for juicing and provide a good dose of cold and flu fighting Vitamin C.
