What does it mean by ‘optional trading day’?
An optional trading day, means that it is not a compulsory trade day and not stalls are open on this day.
Where can I pick up a Market map?
There is a Market map available on our website located here or you can pick up a physical copy upon your arrival at the Market (located at the east and central entrance off Gouger Street, and the information desk).
Transport, Facilities and Regulations
Where is the Market Office and how do I get to it?
The office is located on Level 1 of the Market, directly above Samtass Seafoods. The easiest entrance to the office is via the stairway located off the central Gouger street entrance and in between Marino Meats and Plantation Juice Co/ Samtass Seafoods.
Where is the lost and found?
If you find an item you can hand it in at the Market Office. If you wish to report a missing item or collect a missing item up, you can also do so at the Market Office, located on level 1.
Is there a parents’ room available?
Yes. We have a newly refurbished parents’ room located within the Gouger Street dining area (across from Providore).
When is the car park open?
The car park is open 24/7.
How much is parking?
The first hour parking is free during Market trading hours from Tuesday – Saturday and $6 per hour thereafter. This offer is not available Sunday, Monday, or after Market trading hours.
My parking ticket isn’t working?
Please proceed to a pay station located within the Upark and push the information or help icon on the pay station, to be speak directly to a UPark team member.
I have lost my parking ticket?
Please proceed to a pay station located within the Upark and push the information or lost ticket button on the pay station to be speak directly to a UPark team member.
Is there anywhere to lock up my bicycle if I ride in to the market?
There are public bicycle racks located on the surrounding streets of the Market and there are secure lockers available for hire within the Central Market UPark.
Are dogs allowed in the market?
With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted in the Adelaide Central Market.
Can I smoke in the Market?
No. The Adelaide Central Market and Central Market Upark are smoke-free zones.
Where can I buy merchandise?
Market merchandise can be purchased from the Market Office or online.
Please note that only certain items are available for shipping. The entire merchandise range can also be purchased and/or collected from the Market Office.
Can I purchase a Market gift vouchers?
Yes. Vouchers are available in $10 or $20 amounts and are redeemable at any of your favourite Adelaide Central Market stalls. Vouchers can be purchased online or at the Market Office.
Is it possible to do a tour of the market?
Unfortunately we do not offer tours of the Market, however there are a variety of tours available, operated through third-party groups.
How can I get in contact with a Market Trader?
If you wish to contact any of the stalls or traders directly, we recommenced using the contact details provided on their trader profile.
How do I make a complaint or provide feedback?
