Big Market Adventures for Little Foodies
South Australia is home to some of the world’s best seafood, so let’s celebrate!
After a three-year hiatus, this highly anticipated event has returned featuring a program of street eats and seafood specials from traders plus a program of live music, kids activities and a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef of Press, Tom Tilbury.
New to Seafood + Sounds this year is SiSea’s Sashimi Bar. The Market’s flamed grill and tapas eatery, SiSea, will host Adelaide’s renowned Chef Nu (Mrs Q, Nu Thai and Lantern by Nu) for a two-day pop-up, serving tuna sashimi and entertaining customers with a Yanagiba knife demonstration!
Customers can also try SiSea’s speciality dishes including Eyre Peninsula wok fried mussels, potato wrapped prawns, street-style barbecued prawns and scallops and Coffin Bay Oysters.
Tscharke Wines will also be on board with SiSea with a pop-up wine bar featuring a selection of their hand-crafted wines.
Back by popular demand for two days only is the Chilli Crab Shack by Sprout, featuring South Australian crab with Asian-style spicy chilli tamarind sauce, egg noodles, Thai herbs and lime. Reserve your serve in advance or try your luck on the day – but don’t leave it too late – serves are limited…. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Don’t miss live music by the Atlantic Street Duo, Brian Ruiz, Leni and Jazz in Cheek plus a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef of Press, Tom Tilbury with Mandy Hall. And we haven’t forgotten the kids with a free ‘Sea Creatures’ art workshop by Little Picassos.
