Our big market adventures for little foodies are back this winter!

 

Make the most of the winter school holidays at Adelaide Central Market, where there’s plenty to keep curious kids entertained. From cooking workshops and crafts to live music and our famous trail, it's the perfect place to learn, play, and explore the colourful seasonal produce of the Market together.

School Holiday Market Trail

Designed for curious young food lovers, our much-loved Market Trail invites budding gourmands to explore the Market through its seasonal winter produce. Children will receive a market bag and trail map, before setting off on a self-guided adventure to ten exciting pit stops.

Little Market Chefs

At the Adelaide Central Market, we celebrate cooking from the ground up. These classes will show your little ones how to create simple, delicious dishes using ingredients sourced directly from our traders, before feasting on what they’ve made together!

Cook with OzHarvest

Join Chef Genevieve Harris and OzHarvest for a FREE kids cooking demonstration! The team will bring Lenny and the Ants to life with an interactive reading, cook two recipes from the book (French Toast and Banana Pancakes), and show how you can reduce food waste at home.

Bastille Day at the Market

Celebrate Bastille Day at the Adelaide Central Market on 10 and 11 July with a fun-filled program for the whole family. Enjoy French-inspired food, music, activities and roaming entertainment as the Market comes alive with colour, flavour and festive fun for kids and grown-ups alike.

Join our Bastille Day cupcake decorating workshop for a sweet, hands-on activity the kids will love. Little bakers can decorate their own cupcakes with French-inspired colours and toppings, celebrating Bastille Day in a fun and creative way.
