When asked what Terry likes most about the Market he says: It’s the people, I love who I work with but also getting to know the stallholders and the locals. It’s this mix of familiar faces and new ones from all over the world that makes every day interesting.
If you’re new to the stall, you must try Terry’s top favourites: the salted pistachios, Australian dried mango and Riverland dried local stone fruits — apricots, peaches, and nectarines. There’s something nostalgic about them,
he says. Customers often tell me they grew up eating these — and you can really taste the quality.
And if you’re wondering why everything tastes so fresh, it’s because all their nuts are roasted in-house daily. Now that’s commitment to flavour!
When Terry isn’t helping customers find their new favourite snack, you’ll find him enjoying a raw slice from House of Health, a bag of OMG Donuts, a classic bowl of spaghetti and a strong coffee from Lucia’s.
So, what’s the best way to experience the Market if it’s your first visit?
Just go to all the different stalls and try things. That’s how you really get to know the Market — there’s so much to discover.
Find The Adelaide Nut at Stall 32.
