In wine appreciation terroir is the concept that flavour is derived from a sense of place, and no varietal embodies terroir as expressively as riesling. Oysters also convey their sense of place, a quality known as merroir.
Guests at this Tasting Australia event are set to enjoy five freshly shucked oysters from South Australia’s top regional sources, learning more about each from Angelakis Bros expert Alex Knoll. Oysters will be matched with a tasting paddle of Pewsey Vale Vineyard rieslings presented by head of winemaking Louisa Rose. Explore flavours that express their sense of place, and discover the magic conjured when terroir meets merroir.
