In Bulgaria, this dish is traditionally called Tikvenik, derived from the Bulgarian word for pumpkin, tikva and is generally enjoyed as dessert.  This family recipe was cooked often by Stephan’s late wife and generously shared by Stephan in our new book Adelaide Central Market : Stories, People & Recipes.

Central Organics has been proudly trading in the market since 1972, and the Oulianoff family have just renovated and reopened their  stall in partnership with the House of Health, now known as the House of Health Collective.   Co-owner of the stall, Ivan Oulianoff will join author of the book Fiona Roberts to demonstrate this special family recipe.
